Seiko (SII/TMI) NH36 Automatic Movement

The NH36 automatic movement, originally known as the Seiko Instruments Caliber 7S26 with added day complication, is a highly regarded mechanical movement developed by Seiko Instruments, a subsidiary of Seiko. It is a variant of the NH35, with the key distinction being the addition of a day-date complication, allowing it to display both the date and the day of the week.

Like the NH35, the NH36 operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offers a 41-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable timekeeping for over a day even when the watch is not worn. It is also self-winding, meaning it is powered by the movement of the wrist, and features hacking, allowing the second hand to stop when the crown is pulled out for precise time setting.
