Seiko (SII/TMI) NH35 Automatic Movement

The NH35 automatic movement, originally known as the Seiko Instruments Caliber 7S26, is a widely recognized and popular mechanical movement developed by Seiko. Manufactured by Seiko’s subsidiary, Seiko Instruments, the NH35 is an entry-level automatic movement known for its robustness, reliability, and affordability.

It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and has a 41-hour power reserve, meaning it continues running for over a day after being removed from the wrist. The NH35 features self-winding, meaning it’s powered by the natural motion of the wearer’s arm. In addition, it has a hacking feature, which allows the second hand to stop when setting the time, providing precise synchronization.

The movement is also equipped with a date complication, with a quickset date feature, allowing the date to be adjusted independently. It operates with 24 jewels, reducing friction and enhancing its longevity.
